Review of the Book(Vivian, Sally, Mantebia)

After Mma Ramotswe agreed to marry Mr. J.L.B., they were busy on the preparation. Mma Ramostwe asked Mr. J.L.B. to buy a diamond ring, and Mr. J.L.B. was glad that his fiancĂ©e didn’t want an expensive one. During Mma Ramostwe was seeking the request from a white woman about finding out where her son was, Mr. J.L.B. adopted two children. Mr. J.L.B.’s maid wanted to revenge Mma Ramotswe because she thought Mma Ramotswe was a killer. The maid asked someone to put a gun in Mma Ramotswe’s house, but the person told the police. The maid was caught to the prison. In the other side, Mma Ramotswe let her secretary to be her assistant detective. When Mma Ramotswe knew Mr. J.L.B. adopted two children secretly, shewasn’t angry at all. Nevertheless, she was happy that she was going to marry a kind man.

Reflection of” Tears of the Giraffe”

We liked this book very much because it tells a very interesting story about Mma Ramotswe’s life chronicles and adventures in life which are clear and expressed greatly. Even though this book is the second one of the “ the NO.1Ladies’ Detective Agency”, this book gave us a lot of interesting stories. Also, from this book, we knew that Mma Ramostwe’s own impending marriage to that most gentlemanly of men, Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni, the promotion of her secretary to the dizzy heights of Assistant Detective and new additions to the Matekoni family, all brew up the most humorous and charmingly entertaining of tales. The story still keeps the detective contents and adds something about the leading role’s love for her future family. The leading role Mma Ramotswe and Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni get together finally. They adopt two orphans, which is a boy and a girl. We believe they will have a happy family in their future. The whole story gave us impression of happiness. Mma Ramotswe was able to find out what happen to the America boy. She was also able to find the daughter-in-law and a grandson for the America woman.

As an immigrant, I found myself having fun reading this book. This is because immigrants all have a hard time trying to fit in the new country. I like this book, for it is based on the author’s real life, and she wrote it in an optimistically way. She is a really positive person; her life is full of love. Besides, I learned many things about Iranian culture.

Final Reflection Funny in Farsi - Macus, Annika, Jade

Funny in Farsi was a very easy book to read. It was full of humorous details and throughout the whole story the author kept it quite vivid and interesting. The book expresses very well the frustration and problems that the characters went through when they came to the United States. We would recommend this book to everybody who is an immigrant in a new country because there are a lot of interesting stories which we are sure that they are easy for immigrants to relate to. We enjoyed learning about a new culture and realized no matter where you come from or where you go you will always experience a culture shock.
